I work as a full-time Sculptor based in the Cotswolds of England - designing and creating unique forms that usually start from my sketch pad whilst drinking early morning coffee.
Usually I express my ideas through the reductive techniques, craftsmanship and traditions that have developed over millennia often the heft, texture, colour and hardness of stone. However, my work has evolved during the winter of 23/24 to include the development of some multi-media pieces….see ‘News’ for more detail.
By creating sculptural forms I aspire to create beautiful, unique, one-off investments that will last for generations: for this reason I resist making copies or casts of my work - the uniqueness of an artwork adds to its aura and carries millions of years of history.
As my work has become more well known l find I’m increasingly working on commissions… it’s a nice problem - greatly enhanced by the fact that I get to meet lovely folk with a genuine interest in art and in my efforts… contact me for a discussion .
